- Cosmeston Lakes and Medieval Village

Just outside Cardiff is a gem of an attraction, you've got the wildlife and scenic beauty of the Lakes a favourite with local families - admission free. But you've also got the chance to travel back in time by taking a tour round Cosmeston medieval village with a costumed guide. This village was basically wiped out by the Black Death in the 14c but thanks to Archaeology and a bit of imagination it has been restored to its former glory and gives a fascinating insight into life in a Norman village - a hidden jewel.
