If you ever fancied the experience of going down a real coal mine this is the place for you. A twenty minute drive from the centre of Cardiff, with its own railway station nearby sits this gem of an attraction. Built on the site of the old Lewis Merthyr Colliery a fake coal mine has been created, your taken on an underground tour with a real ex miner, where they tell you all about the perils of life and the camaraderie of the coal face. With floor shaking explosions and a fantastic virtual reality ride at the end this a great experience for all.
